Mediation FAQs
What is mediation?
Mediation is a confidential, voluntary process where a neutral third party (the mediator) helps disputing parties communicate, negotiate, and reach a mutually acceptable resolution. Unlike a judge or arbitrator, the mediator does not impose a decision but facilitates constructive dialogue.
Why choose mediation?
Mediation provides a collaborative and cost-effective way to resolve disputes without the expense and delays of litigation. It is often faster and more affordable than going to court, while also helping preserve relationships through open communication and problem-solving. Whether dealing with divorce, business conflicts, or other disagreements, mediation empowers people to settle disputes fairly and respectfully, with outcomes tailored to their unique needs.
How long does mediation take?
The duration depends on the complexity of the dispute. We offer half-day mediations, which are 4 hours, and full-day mediations, which are 8 hours. To learn more information, click this link.
